I never went to the Mexican restaurant where I took this picture because it seemed like a place that college kids would go for cookie-cutter tacos and pitchers of Bud. But, ah, once it closed it became interesting. More and more interesting as time went on until finally I had to go take its picture before someone fixed it up or tore it down (that was three years ago....it’s still there).
Turns out a homeless man had made a well-hidden little camp in the corner of what was once the patio. That was probably his book and maybe the fabric and paper towel snatches were his, too.
They’d been rained on many times, like him.
